APPOINTMENTS

To make an appointment please ask the receptionist. We offer face to face and telehealth (telephone and video call) consultations at the treating doctors discretion. You may choose to see the GP of your choice. Should you require a longer appointment please advise the receptionist at the time of the booking.

GP’s may be contacted during opening hours. A message will be taken and the receptionist will advise you when it is likely for a GP or member of clinical staff to return your call. In an emergency your call will always be put through to a clinically appropriate person. This may be the practice nurse or a GP.

REMINDER SYSTEM

Our surgery is committed to preventative care. We will include you on our database for a reminder for Cervical screening Tests, Immunisations, and other Preventative Health Services appropriate to your care.  We will also send you SMS reminders for your appointment day and time.  If you do not wish to be included on a reminder system, please advise the receptionist.

 

TEST RESULTS, REFERRALS AND REPEAT PRESCRIPTIONS

Your GP will advise you when they expect results to arrive at the surgery. Results may not be given out over the telephone due to privacy regulations. GP’s providing pathology referrals, repeat prescriptions and referrals to Specialists are responsible ethically and legally to ensure these are warranted.  A consultation with a GP may therefore be necessary. Back dating medical certificates is illegal, and these will not be issued.  

 

MANAGING YOUR PERSONAL INFORMATION

Your medical record is a confidential document.  It is always the Policy of our Surgery to maintain security of Personal Health Information and to ensure that this information is only available to authorised members of staff.  This surgery abides by the National Privacy Principles found at:

A copy of our Privacy Policy is displayed in the Surgery on the Notice Board.

 

FEES AND BILLING

Fees are payable at the time of consultation. Current fees are displayed in the reception area. In most cases the Medicare rebate is credited to your account the same day.

We happily Bulk Bill children under 16 years, people over the age of 75 and DVA Gold Card Holders
